Middle School

SEEM Middle School is a co-educational day school that provides therapeutic and educational support to help students prepare for high school and attain the social and behavioral skills needed to eventually join the workforce or continue on to higher education opportunities.

  • School Year: 180 days from August-June,  5-week Extended Year Program from late June through the end of July

APPROPRIATE REFERRALS INCLUDE STUDENTS IN GRADES 5-8 WHO:

  • Are currently on an Individual Education Plan (IEP)

  • Are at or near grade level for most academic material with support

  • Present with no significant level of global delay but may have specific learning disabilities and require remedial supports for these disabilities

  • Have been diagnosed with:

    • High-Functioning Autism, Asperger Syndrome, PDD-NOS, or similar profile

    • Mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder, or similar profile

    • Emotional Behavior Disorders (EBD), including social/emotional learning (SEL) difficulties, oppositional defiant disorder, or similar profiles

    • Psychiatrically involved
