Physical Therapy

Physical therapy services are provided to students with gross motor, motor coordination, and muscle tone weaknesses. Physical therapists address these areas of need through individual and/or group therapy sessions in settings that have been specifically designed for motor activities. On-going consultation is provided in the classroom environment as well as in the physical education and adaptive physical education environments. Here emphasis is placed upon movement to develop strength, agility, fitness and self-esteem. Staff provides a range of activities to develop cooperation, sportsmanship and social interaction skills while learning and playing a variety of both competitive and cooperative games.
